‍Your provider, Candice Whealon, is a passionate advocate for nursing excellence and healthcare innovation. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing and her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of California, Irvine School of Nursing. With more than 20 years of nursing experience, she brings a diverse clinical and leadership background to her practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Before joining academia as an Associate Nursing Professor at the University of California, Irvine, Candice served as the West Division Regional Lead Advanced Practice Provider for Envision Physician Services, where she managed teams of physician assistants and nurse practitioners across three Southern California emergency departments. She also has more than a decade of experience in emergency medicine and urgent care.

Drawing on a longstanding interest in aesthetics, wellness, and fitness, Candice has completed advanced training in aesthetic medicine and holds certifications from PALETTE®, American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and The Aesthetics Immersion. Her background in aesthetics and personal training enhances her holistic approach to patient care.

Candice currently serves as Co-Chair of the Educational Committee for the California Association for Nurse Practitioners. Her previous leadership roles include President of the Orange County chapter of the California Association for Nurse Practitioners and Founding President of the UC Irvine School of Nursing Alumni Association Chapter. These experiences reflect her commitment to advancing the nursing profession and ensuring patients across all care settings receive high-quality, evidence-based care.

Today, Candice’s passion lies in integrating her expertise in primary care, aesthetics, and fitness to expand access to comprehensive telehealth services and promote a more holistic approach to health and wellness.
